FAQ
Everything we can answer about buying here — what a purchase actually gets you, how the balance works, and watching a scene in a headset. Where an answer is missing it is because it needs a decision we have not made yet, and we would rather leave the gap than guess.
What you get when you buy
What a purchase is, how long it lasts, and what you can take with you.
- Is a scene mine, or am I renting it?
- Yours. Buying a scene gives you a personal licence to watch it and to keep a copy. Nothing counts down, nothing expires and there is nothing to renew. It is a licence for you alone, though — what you buy is not yours to resell, share or re-upload.
- How many times can I watch it?
- As many as you like, on as many devices as you sign in on. There is no streaming limit, no device to register and nothing that objects to two screens at once.
- Can I download the file?
- Yes — up to 10 downloads of the original for each scene you buy, and you can see how many are left on the scene in your purchases. It is the master file, not a re-encode.
- What counts as one of those 10?
- Starting a download does, even if you cancel it partway or the transfer dies — what is counted is handing your player the file, which we cannot take back once it is out. If the button itself fails you lose nothing: the slot is returned and the page says so.
Paying
You buy from a balance rather than at the scene. Here is why, and how it works.
- How does paying work here?
- Every scene is priced in US dollars and paid from your account balance. There is no card form at the scene and no subscription anywhere — you put money on the balance once, and buying after that is a single click against it.
- How do I put money on the balance?
- From your account: pick one of the fixed amounts, pay through the checkout we send you to, and then press I already paid. That last step is what tells us to look — it is a message to a person, not a payment, and pressing it does not move your balance by itself.
- Can I pay for a scene with a card directly?
- No — the card goes at the top-up, not at the scene. It is a step more than you are used to, and it is the honest shape of a shop this size rather than a policy we are pleased with.
Watching it
In a headset, or flat in a browser. The full walkthrough has its own page.
- Do I need a headset?
- No. Everything plays flat in a browser, and part of the catalogue is shot flat on purpose. The VR half is shot for a headset and that is where it is meant to be seen, but nothing is locked to one.
- What format are the VR scenes?
- 180° dome, side-by-side stereo — all of them. There is no projection to choose and no setting to get wrong, which is why no scene page lists one. Watching in VR walks through getting one into a headset, and what to do if the picture looks doubled.
- Can I try one before buying?
- Yes. The trailers are free, need no account, and play in the headset as well as in the browser — which is the only honest way to find out whether the format suits you.
When something goes wrong
The handful of things that actually break, and what to do about each.
- The scene will not load, or it stopped partway.
- Reload the page first: playback runs on a link that is minted fresh each time and expires quickly, so the commonest cause is a tab that sat open too long. If it happens twice on the same scene, tell us — that is not something you should have to work around.
- It says I have no downloads left.
- You have used the 10 that came with that scene. It does not affect streaming — you can still watch it as often as you like, from anywhere you sign in. If you lost the file to something that was not your doing, write to us and say which scene.
- My top-up still says you are checking it.
- It is waiting on a person, which is normal and not a fault. If it has been sitting far longer than the panel led you to expect, write to us rather than opening a second one — a second request makes the first harder to match, not faster.
- Something else — a wrong charge, a scene I should not have bought.
- Write to us and say what happened. One person reads those and answers them, and the honest version is that this gets handled case by case rather than by a policy we can point you at.
Still stuck? Write to us — one person reads these, so an answer takes as long as it takes, but it comes from a person.
